Winning Workplaces: Better for People - Better for Business

Web Polls

March 2007 | Current Webpolls

Employee Recognition

In our first poll for March, respondents overwhelmingly reported that their employers use multiple forms of recognition, including both nonmonetary and monetary extra effort awards and performance bonuses (41 percent). The next largest groups, at 24 percent each, reported that their organizations use performance bonuses only to recognize employees; the other group indicated that their employers use none of the methods we outlined.

Corporate Social Responsibility

In our second poll for March, a full 38 percent of respondents indicated that corporate social responsibility is built into their employers' missions and values. The next largest concentration, just under 31 percent, said their organizations use a combination of mission/values, policies/procedures and a staff member who specifically ensures CSR. Twenty-three percent of respondents said that their organizations don't address CSR at all.
